Update Your Account's Payment Method

Learn how to check and update the payment method that you are using for your 1&1 account.

Keeping your payment method current will ensure that your account remains active and will prevent it from becoming locked.

Step 1
Click this link to log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and access your payment details directly.

Alternatively, if you are already logged in, simply click My Payment Details in the left side menu.

Select a Payment Method and edit the details as necessary.
Credit Card
  • (A) Select Credit Card.
  • (B) Under Payment Details, enter the credit card details.
  • (C) Check and update the Data of the Credit Card owner if necessary.
  • (D) Check the box Until further notice, I agree to 1&1 debiting all upcoming fees from my specified payment method.
  • (E) Click Save when finished.

PayPal
  • Select Paypal. If PayPal is already your chosen payment method, please ensure that your account limit is correct and that you have sufficient funds in your account.
  • To setup PayPal for the first time, click Go to PayPal.
  • Log in to your PayPal account.
  • Check that 1&1 is the merchant.
  • Accept the merchant agreement.
  • Click Back to Merchant to return to the 1&1 Control Panel.

Direct Debit
  • (A) Select Direct Debit as the payment method.
  • (B) Enter your Account Number and Sort Code.
  • (C) Check the boxes to confirm that This person is the sole account holder and Until further notice, [you] agree to 1&1 debiting all upcoming fees from your specified payment method.
  • (D) When you are finished, click Save to update your payment method.
