Restore MSSQL Databases for Windows

For 1&1 Professional Backup

Learn how to restore your MSSQL databases in the event of a hard drive failure, database corruption or to restore to another server.

Please note:
The 1&1 Professional Backup uses TCP port 443 for communicating with the backup server. Please ensure firewalls, as well as IP Security Policy, are not set to block incoming and outgoing traffic on TCP port 443.

Start the 1&1 Professional Backup application.

Select My Computer then click the Recovery tab. Backup Manager Overview

From the Location drop-down menu, select MSSQL databases. Location of File

From the Backup time drop-down menu, select a date/time. Available Backup Times

Tick the empty boxes next to the databases you would like to restore. When you have made all of your selections, click the Recover button to begin restoring the database(s). Begin Recovery

You may receive a prompt asking if you would like to overwrite files. Before clicking Yes, be sure that you are not going to overwrite any necessary data. Backup Manager Prompt
