Manage 1&1 Professional Backup for Linux

Learn how to create, modify and delete backup schedules using the 1&1 Professional Backup.

Create a New Schedule
Step 1
To create a new schedule, use the ./ClientTool control.schedule.add command and supply the following parameters:
Command Options
Parameter Values
-name <STRING> Choose a name for the schedule
-active <BOOLEAN> 0 (not active) or 1 (active)
-days <DAY1,DAY2,...> Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and All
-time <TIME> Time to start the backup in hh:mm format
[root@s12345678 bin]# ./ClientTool control.schedule.add -name everyOtherDay -active 1 -datasources FileSystem -days Tuesday,Thursday,Saturday -time 03:00

Step 2
List the schedules again to ensure that your schedule has been correctly created.

Modify an Existing Schedule

Step 1
Use the ./ClientTool control.schedule.list command to view all schedules and their properties. Take note of the ID number for the schedule you wish to modify.
[root@s1234678 bin]# ./ClientTool control.schedule.list

Step 2
Use the ./ClientTool control.schedule.modify command followed by the ID number and then specify only the new parameters that need an update.
[root@s12345678 bin]# ./ClientTool control.schedule.modify -id 1 -time 03:30

Step 3
List the schedules again to ensure that your changes have been correctly applied.

Delete a Schedule

Step 1
Use the ./ClientTool control.schedule.list command to view all schedules. Take note of the ID number for the schedule you wish to delete.

Step 2
Use the ./ClientTool control.schedule.remove command followed by the ID number of the schedule you wish to delete.
[root@s12345678 bin]# ./ClientTool control.schedule.remove -id 1

All rights reserved.

Schedule with ID #1 successfully removed.

Step 3
List the schedules again to ensure that the schedule has been removed.
