Create Mail Filter Rules

For 1&1 WebMail customers

Learn how to create rules for filtering your e-mails in 1&1 WebMail.

Filtering rules will allow incoming e-mails to be automatically sent to specific folders upon receipt.

Step 1
Log in to the 1&1 WebMail interface. Log in page

Click the menu icon and then click Edit Settings.

Click Filter Rules within the E-mail section.

Click Add new rule.

  • Enter the name of your rule under Rule name.
  • Click the Add condition link to select a condition from the menu that appears. The different conditions will allow the program to recognize incoming e-mails by sender address, subject, and more.
  • Click the Add action link to select an action from the menu that appears. The different actions will automatically direct your incoming e-mails to a specific folder, remove the e-mails, and more.

In this example, any incoming e-mails coming from a Spam e-mail account will automatically be redirected to the Spam folder. Once you've finished setting up your rule, click the Save button to activate it. Create new rule menu
