Set Up a Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1 Account Using an Existing Address

For Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1 packages.

Follow the steps below to configure a new Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1 account for first use.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.

Click the Manage E-mail Addresses link from the Mail panel.

Step 3
Click the Set Up link for the Exchange account you wish to set up. Email Overview page

Select Mailbox type, either Own mailbox in order to set up your own Exchange account, or Employee mailbox to set up an additional mailbox for another person.

Select Use an existing e-mail address as the Sender address. Enter the e-mail address and password in the appropriate text boxes. When you are finished, click the OK button.

The activation code will be sent to the e-mail address you provided in the previous step. Enter it and then lick the Ok button. Microsoft Exchange Account Overview page

With every Exchange account, 1&1 offered Microsoft Outlook 2013 for Windows or Microsoft Outlook 2011 for Mac free of charge. If you do not already have Microsoft Outlook, or want to upgrade the version installed on your computer, please select Yes and click the Next button. Exchange Account Activation window

Step 7
Click Download and save link under one of the available programs listed to start your download. When you're finished, click Go To Overview. Microsoft Outlook 2013 Download window

If you are going to use a 1&1 e-mail address you will need to create a forward for your existing e-mail address to forward to the exchange account seen in the image below. If you are going to use a different e-mail address, you will need to configure it with in its respective system so the e-mail address forwards to the exchange account seen below. Please note:
It is necessary to complete the instructions in the previous step as this will allow any incoming e-mails to be directed to your exchange account's inbox.
