Manually Set Up Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1 Account in Outlook

Follow the steps below to manually connect to your Exchange 2013 account through Outlook.

Prerequisites
Step 1
On your computer, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.

If using Windows XP, double-click the Mail icon.

If using Windows Vista, Windows 7 or above, type Mail into the search box at the top-right of the Control Panel window to quickly find the Mail icon. Then, double-click it.

Click the Show Profiles button.

Click Add....

Enter a name for the profile (this could be your name, your email address, or whatever you would like) and click OK.

In the Add Account window, select Microsoft Exchange server or compatible service and click Next.

Enter the following data:
  • Server: winhexbeeu1
  • User Name: Your Exchange account E-mail address.
When finished, click More Settings....

A new window will appear. Click the Advanced tab.

Select Use Cached Exchange Mode and Download shared folders.

Next, click the Security tab. Select Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange.

Then, click the Connection tab. Select Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP and click Exchange Proxy Settings.

In the https:// field, enter 1.exchange.1and1.eu.

Select the following options:
  • Connect using SSL only
  • Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate:
    Enter msstd:1.exchange.1and1.eu.
  • On fast networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP
  • On slow networks, connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP
From the Authentication drop-down menu, select NTLM Authentication.

When finished, click OK.

Click OK again.

Click Next.

Enter your Exchange e-mail address for the user name and your Exchange account password, then click OK.

Sometimes, you will be prompted for this information twice. Simply enter your credentials again and click OK.

You can now access your Exchange account by opening the Outlook program that you have installed in your computer and selecting your newly created profile!
