Create Resource Mailbox for Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1

This article will show you how to configure a resource mailbox for Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1.

Resources, such as such as conference rooms and equipment (whiteboards, projector etc.), can be represented by mailboxes via the calendar feature in Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1. This allows you to reserve a resource item, similarly to how you invite attendees to a meeting scheduled via Microsoft® Exchange 2013 by 1&1. Follow the directions outlined below to create such a resource.

Access the XAdmin login site, using the administrator login details.

To create a new resource mailbox, click on New. List of current resource mailboxes

Give your resource a Name and choose the Resource Type such as room or mailbox. Decide whether you want to allow calendar conflicts and recurring meetings. In the field below you can enter additional text for the automatic reply. For example, you can clarify instructions on how to use the resource. Configuration of resource mailboxes
