Migrate E-mail from Another Account to a 1&1 E-Mail Account

For 1&1 Mail Basic or 1&1 Mail Business packages

Learn how to migrate e-mail from your old 1&1 Mail Basic or 1&1 Mail Business accounts to your re-created accounts, after you've completed your internal domain transfer.

Your e-mail does not move with your domain when performing an internal domain transfer. Instead, the e-mail accounts associated with the domain that was transferred to another package are reassigned to a new domain, since the domain they were created with is no longer avialble.

The e-mail accounts will be re-assigned to the domain @mailboxbackup.info, so that an e-mail address originally named account@1and1help.co.uk will be reassigned to account.1and1help.co.uk@mailboxbackup.info.

You will need to re-create the account@1and1help.co.uk e-mail address in the package that the domain was transferred to, and then import the mail from account.1and1help.co.uk@mailboxbackup.info to the re-created account@1and1help.co.uk in the webmail interface using the steps below.
