Change the Default Version of PHP for Linux

Learn how to choose a default version of PHP to use for each domain in your package through the 1&1 Control Panel.

To set the PHP version for a domain, simply follow the instructions below.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
Step 2
Click the PHP Settings link from the Hosting panel. Hosting > PHP Settings

You will now see an overview of all your domains and their PHP versions. Click on Set PHP version next to the domain which needs its PHP settings updated. PHP Settings of domains

Choose which version of PHP to use with the domain by clicking Use PHP X.X. PHP versions overview page

The domain will begin using the selected version of PHP once you see the confirmation message. Confirmation message
