Find Your MSSQL Database Connection Credentials

For Windows packages

Learn how to find the credentials for connecting to your MSSQL database and how to reset your password if you've forgotten it.

To make a connection to a MSSQL database you will need the following information from the 1&1 Control Panel:

Database Name User Name Password Host Name

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
Step 2
Click on MSSQL Administration in the Hosting panel.

You can see your various databse credentials on this page.

If you have forgotten your database passsword, click Edit. MS SQL Database Overview Page

Here you can set a new password (if necessary) by typing it twice into the text fields and clicking Save.

Please note:
Changing the database password from within the 1&1 Control Panel will also require that you also update the password in any scripts that utilize this database.
