Transfer a Non-UK Domain to 1&1

In this article we will show you how to transfer your non-UK domain to 1&1.

You can use your domain in any 1&1 WebHosting package by transferring your domain with the help of authorisation codes. These verify domain ownership for non-UK domain names. Internet Provider Security Tags are usually not used.

Please note:
Before transferring a domain to 1&1, please backup all website files, databases, E-mail accounts, and take note of any DNS settings or subdomains created under the domain as no data or configuration will transfer with the domain!

Step 1
Back up any of the current domain associated data such as website files, databases, email accounts, etc. Take note of any DNS settings or subdomains created under the domain as no data or configuration will transfer with the domain.
Step 2
Obtain the domain's Authorisation Code which can only be provided by the current registrar. Ensure that the current owner unlocks the domain at the current registrar.
Step 3
Review the current WHOIS contact information. Make sure that the registrant (reg-C) and administrative (admin-C) E-mail addresses are up to date and can receive messages. The current domain owner should have access to both of these E-mail accounts.
Step 4
