Add a New Domain to a 1&1 Package

For existing customers. New customers should use the order page to order a new domain.

In this article you will learn how to add a domain to your existing package.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.

Under the Domains panel, click on Register new Domain. Domain panel

Enter the domain name of your choice and click on Search domains.
Please note:
Double-check the spelling of your domain before completing the order process, as it is not possible to change a domain name once it has been registered on your behalf. Once registered, you may cancel the domain before the yearly registration is up, but you cannot rename a domain.

If the domain is unavailable, enter a new domain name and click on Search domains again. Alternatively, you can click on Add to Cart next to one of the domains from the list of suitable domain extensions located below the search field. Search for other domain

Your selected domain is available. Press on Add to Cart. Confirmation of domain availability

Hover over Your Basket and press on Checkout to proceed. Contents of Your Basket

Follow the steps of the ordering process until you have reached the Your Order page. Click on Order Now to submit the domain for registration. You will receive an order confirmation E-mail. Your domain will be available within the next 24 hours.
