Make Each Domain Show a Different Website

For 1&1 WebHosting

Learn how to configure your domains to show a different website.

If you have more than one domain in your package and have not yet changed the domain's destination folder, each domain will point to the root folder of your webspace. Follow the steps outlined below to individually change your domains to show a separate website.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
Step 2
From the Domains panel, click on Manage Domains.
Domains > Manage Domains
Domains > Manage Domains

Step 3
The initial destination for all domains will be the root of the webspace Web space /.. The domain points to your package's webspace and the Webspace folder that the domain points to is listed in parenthesis. The slashdot /. signifies that the domain points to the root as there is no subfolder after the slash. If the domain points to a subfolder named website1, the destination would be Webspace /website1 and when viewing this domain, the site files used are in the website1 folder.

Please note:
To separate your domains so that each domain shows a different website, change the destination of each domain to a subfolder. Create a subfolder named yourdomain and use this as the destination folder for yourdomain.co.uk so that way all associated website files can be stored separately separate from other domains.

Set up or change the destination of your domain to point each domain to a separate subfolder. When uploading your files, upload them to the correct subfolder used for that domain.
