Restart/Shutdown a 1&1 Dynamic Cloud Server Linux Instance

Learn how to shut down or restart a 1&1 Dynamic Cloud Server from the 1&1 Control Panel.

Dynamic Cloud Servers ordered March 2012 or later, have the ability to hold multiple Cloud Server instances (also referred to as virtual machines) within one package. In order to shutdown or reboot one of the instances, use the steps below.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
Step 2
Click the Server Administration link from the 1&1 Server Administration panel.

Step 3
Check the box next to the Cloud Server instance that needs to be shutdown or restarted and then select Server Control from the Administration drop-down menu.

Step 4
Choose the Deactivate server option to shutdown the Cloud Server instance.
Choose the Execute Reset option to reboot the Cloud Server instance.

If you shutdown the server, you can use this page later to start it again. Once you have made your selection, click the OK button.
