Configuring your Exchange account as a POP3 account will ONLY provide e-mail functionality using your Exchange account. Using POP3, you will not be able to access the additional features of Exchange such as the calendar, tasks, Public Folders, etc. If you must set up your Exchange account as a POP3 or IMAP account, 1&1 suggests IMAP.
