Insert or Edit an Image with Text in a 1&1 MyWebsite Page

This article contains a guide on both inserting a new Image with Text element into your 1&1 MyWebsite page and how to edit an existing Image with Text element.

To add your own image with text to your website, you can either include a new Image with Text element or change an existing one that is already on the site. The following steps will guide you through the respective processes.

Inserting an Image with Text

Click the Insert Elements button from the main menu on the right-hand side.

Click the Image with Text icon.

Drag the Image with Text icon to the area of the page where you want it to appear. Release the mouse button when you have positioned the element in the correct location.

You are now able to add new text in the text box provided. Use the formatting buttons above the text box to format your text as necessary.

If you have your own image to upload, click Upload image and then Browse... to locate and upload it.

You can also choose an image from the Image library. Click Image library to view the available free images.

You can use the Back and Next buttons to browse through all of the available images.

Alternatively, you can Enter a search term in the search box and click OK to search for images that match your search term.

Hover your mouse over an image for a larger thumbnail of the image.

Select an image to use by clicking the image once with your mouse and then clicking Insert.

Click the gear icon to add a Subtitle to the picture or change its size, alignment, and more if necessary.

When finished, click Save at the bottom of the element box.

The image with text will be added to the page. Use the up arrow and down arrow to move the element up or down. Alternatively, you can drag and drop the element to a new position on the page. You can also click the trash can button to delete the element completely.

Editing an Image with Text
Step 2
Hover your mouse over an existing Image with Text element to highlight it. Click the highlighted element to make changes to it.

A text box containing the current text is shown. Make changes to the text as necessary.

Click Upload Image and then Browse... to upload a new image.

Or click Image library to select a new available photo from the 1&1 Image Gallery.

Click the gear icon to change the settings for the current image being used. When finished, be sure to click Save.
