Add a Favicon to a 1&1 MyWebsite Package

In this article you will learn how to add a favicon to your 1&1 MyWebsite or replace an existing favicon by a new one.

A favicon is a small image that is displayed in the address bar to the left of the Internet address and used as the icon for saved bookmarks. The following steps will teach you how to add/change a favicon on a 1&1 MyWebsite package.

Click the Settings icon from the Main Menu on the right-hand side.

Choose the Edit Favicon icon.

Now, click Browse... to locate the image for your favicon on your computer.
Please note:
The image for your favicon must be a PNG file with a resolution of 16 x 16 pixels.

Locate the image and select it by clicking it with the mouse. Then click Open to confirm your selection.

A message is displayed that the favicon was uploaded successfully.

The next time you load your website in a browser, the favicon should display next to the URL.
