Tips for a Secure Password

Passwords that consist of only a few small letters or numbers can be decrypted within seconds. With our tips rest assured your password will be strong and virtually impossible to decrypt.

  • Use different character types. Examples of different character types are uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers and special characters such as symbols. This will provide for a more complex password which will make it very difficult to decrypt.
  • Something specific to you. Use the first letters of your favorite songs or quotes. You can also apply numbers, symbols, upper and lowercase letters to ensure its security.
  • Never use the same password for multiple accounts! If the password is compromised, it is possible that other accounts using the same password may have been infiltrated.
  • Always use a combination that does not make sense to outsiders. Refrain from using passwords such as your date of birth, phone number, nick name and anything that could be obivous to someone that knows you.
  • The password should be at least 8-10 characters long.
  • Regularly change all passwords!

With these tips, you will be able to create a very secure password. Keep your password written down or on your harddrive in a safe place that only you know.
