Update Your Account's Payment Method

Learn how to check and update the payment method that you are using for your 1&1 account.

Keeping your payment method current will ensure that your account remains active and will prevent it from becoming locked.

Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.

From the quick access panel on the left, click My Invoices. 1&1 Control Panel

Find the Payment Method box toward the right of the page to see your current payment details. To update the payment method, click the Edit button underneath. My Invoices page

Select a Payment Method and edit the details as necessary.
Credit Card

  • Select Credit Card (A)
  • Under Payment Details, enter the credit card details (B).
  • Check and update the Data of the Credit Card owner (C) if necessary.
  • Click Save when finished.

PayPal

  • Select Paypal. If PayPal is already your chosen payment method, please ensure that your account limit is correct and that you have sufficient funds in your account.
  • To setup PayPal for the first time, click Go to PayPal.
  • Log in to your PayPal account.
  • Check that 1&1 is the merchant.
  • Accept the merchant agreement.
  • Click Back to Merchant to return to the 1&1 Control Panel.

Direct Debit
  • Select Direct Debit as the payment method.
  • Enter your Account Number, Sort Code and tick the box confirming that you are the account holder.
  • When you are finished, click Save to update your payment method.
